I hope you're having a lovely Sunday! With my brain fog and being easily distracted, I tend to forget a LOT of things but today, this really took the cake.

Today is Father's Day and I only realized at 3 pm after sitting in my office the whole morning doing work (well, trying to anyway.) 🤣

My husband has been puttering around, doing things around the house, watching the baseball game, while I'm working on my newsletter and my son is in his room, door shut, playing video games.

I'm pretty bad with anniversaries - in fact, I always forget ours until usually later that day, or the day after, but I've never forgot about Father's Day.

I never really had a relationship with my dad growing up as my parents divorced when I was 7. I did spend every summer with my dad until I was 16, but he was never around. After 16, I was no longer required to stay with him and became estranged in my early 20's and never saw him again or really spoke to him after that.

My hubby is nothing like my dad, and my son will never know the difference - or realize how lucky he is to have such a devoted, caring person in his corner.

And yes, even though I forgot, the day isn't over so I'm going to take some time to try to make it special for him.
​
