It's been four months and two days since I wrote to you. Here's why.

Hi Reader,

I’m sorry to have taken so long to have written you but a chain of unfortunate events snowballed into an avalanche and I needed to hit pause for bit. In this case, four months. πŸ€¦πŸ»β€β™€οΈ

I don’t want to bore you with a long, involved, laundry list of reasons why I've been M.I.A., but I’ll be recounting some of those setbacks soon as there were definitely lessons to be had and I think sharing them might be helpful to others.

I'll also be including some snippets of my European adventure which took me to seven different countries. (Amazing!) And an accident at the tail end which landed me in a wheelchair for the remainder of my trip. (Not so amazing.) This also made it difficult to write my newsletter as I was under doctor's orders to keep my foot elevated above my heart and I write from a desktop computer.

Suffice it to say, health issues, business blowups, and feelings of overwhelm all nudged me into a place of needing to unplug. Have you ever felt like that? Just wanting to pack it in and go cry in a corner?

Sometimes that’s exactly what you need to get to the next step in your journey. Other times, it's not really that dramatic. πŸ˜‚ It may just come down to needing to give yourself grace.

I was burning the candle at both ends writing a daily newsletter for two years so a much-needed pause was long overdue. I’m slowly starting to feel like myself, but it may take me some time to get back to what my newsletter previously was. Or it may never look like that again. I'm still tinkering.

I do know that change is good, and pushing to be your best self is never easy. Sometimes you need to hit that reset button in order to figure out where it is you want to go and what it is you truly want rather than just climbing towards a destination you aren’t sure is for you.

Wherever you’re headed, it’s important to enjoy the ride. When that journey started to feel heavy and didn't feel in alignment with my goals, one of the consequences was ghosting you, which wasn't my intention.

Some of you wrote to ask if I was ok. Others wondered if they had been unsubscribed from my newsletter. I truly appreciate all the messages that were sent and apologize if I gave any cause for concern as this length of time without touching base is not like me at all.

I hope to make it up to you in the coming weeks with some exciting updates, new creations, and special, reader-only deals I'm planning to roll out, along with exclusive, partner offers which you won't find anywhere else.

I'll also be addressing the status of the course I created back in June along with planned updates and new launches, as well as any bonuses/courses that are owed.

I started this newsletter because I love writing it and I take great joy from sharing stories and amazing finds that I believe are helpful, and in some instances, life-changing which I hope others can benefit from.

Thank you for being a subscriber and know that I appreciate you more than words can express. πŸ’—

I'll be back soon, but in the meantime, because I know you're used to my sizeable roundup, here are some things I've been crushing on lately:

  • πŸ“Έ Photosync. If you're a photobug like me, this app is πŸ”₯ and really saved my bacon while I was on vacation and running out of space to store the zillion photos I took on my iPhone. Pro tip: Don't purchase a monthly subscription. Grab the free trial, or the lifetime Pro plan and after 30 days, you'll get an offer to upgrade to Premium for $19.99 instead of $34.99. (Still worth it at the regular price!)

  • 🎀 Voicenotes, one of my favorite apps of the year, is bidding adieu to its $50 lifetime plan this week. After having a spectacularly successful launch, it's safe to say that this deal won't be coming back anytime soon so snap it up quickly if you want to own it forever. This is a game changing, voice-based note taker which allows you to seamlessly record your ideas, transcribe them automatically, and use them to create anything from a detailed blog post to a quick tweet. Huge time-saver!

To make this deal even more of a no-brainer, if you purchase Voicenotes through my link, I'll also throw in $25 of Lara loot (the new credit system I'm rolling out) which you can use to pick up anything you want from my shop page. (Lots of new additions coming soon!)

Happy Tales!

Hi Reader, How was Black Friday/Cyber Monday? Whether you stocked up on fantastic deals (or steered clear of the hullaballoo), I hope you got everything you wanted from it and nothing you didn't!I fared pretty well this year. I had a scaled down list of business items as well as personal items which I was hoping to get and was able to pick up a few of the things I wanted. Some subscriptions I was hoping to get didn't go on sale which was a bummer but if something's really good, then they're...

Hi Reader,By now I'm sure you're experiencing EBFF. (Extreme Black Friday Fatigue.) The good news is, we're almost done so you can get back to normalcy. The bad thing is - we're not done yet as a lot of things are ending today (or very soon) so there's no more time to lollygag if you've been contemplating certain things.I just wanted to share a Black Friday from my younger days. My dear hubby (DH) who at the time, I had been dating for a few months, went away to Chicago for Thanksgiving. I...

Hi Reader,Happy Thanksgiving to my American friends! I hope you're having a wonderful day relaxing, eating lots of delicious food and not feeling guilty about it! I'm finally back from my extended birthday celebrations this weekend. I took the day off on Friday to spend with my husband who also surprised me by booking Monday off. I've done a lot of window shopping over the past few days starting at the One of a Kind show in Toronto on Friday which is a huge convention of local artisans who...
