I'm finally back from my extended birthday celebrations this weekend. I took the day off on Friday to spend with my husband who also surprised me by booking Monday off.

I've done a lot of window shopping over the past few days starting at the One of a Kind show in Toronto on Friday which is a huge convention of local artisans who have everything from clothing to jewelry and art to food.

For the first time though, I was disappointed as many of the vendors I buy from weren't there this year. ie: The guy who sells my favorite peanut butter. The lady who sells my favorite chocolate bars. They've been there for the last three years, but not this year. Then I realized I can now buy their stuff at the grocery store.

They've officially "made it" and are selling in huge retail chains so they don't need to schlep their goods to various road shows and slash their prices to generate interest. They've gotten enough eyes on their product that people will now be able to find them and they can now charge a fair price of their choosing.

As an online business owner, I feel this.
